Our Aims

To provide quality Australian Stock Horses and Quarter Horses to the performance horse and pleasure horse industries worldwide.

To increase knowledge and understanding within the equestrian fraternity on the horse/human dynamic through workshops and clinics.

To raise awareness as to how basic universal laws relate to the horses mind and actions, and how to utilize those laws when working with horses.

To offer the services of Starting under saddle/colt starting, training, re-educating, starting on cattle, post veterinary rehabilitation, agistment and a fully functional breeding centre.
Our Property
We are located at 263 Refractory Road, Bakers Hill approximately 1 hour east of Perth Western Australia just off the Great Eastern Highway. Inspections are welcome by appointment.
The property is divided into 4 areas:
Equine Reproduction Centre and Stallion Facility
8 stallion yards, 6 Individual Stallion Paddocks, 10 individual mare and foal safe yards,30 acres of pasture for turnout, foaling down yards, teasing yards, and a Fully functional Advanced Reproduction Centre. Complete with Laboratory and treatment area.
2010 Stud season -
Will see Saltriver offering the full services of Cryopreservation of stallion semen, breeding on site with frozen and cooled semen from AQUIS eligible studs worldwide.
Embryo transfer from our stud mares and Saltriver will be offering a recipient mare provider service for the recieval of Cooled shipped Embryos!
Training Facility
3 stallion yards, 16 day yards, one 20m round yard, one 10m round yard, one 30x15m cutout yard, one 140x60m arena, one 140x100m arena. Electronic mechanical cow. Access to Clackline Bush reserve (3500 acres) which is right next door this reserve is fantastic for challenging colts with a variety of terrain to encounter.
Cattle work
Saltriver has a constant supply of fresh cattle for stating colts and training campdrafters,team penners and Cutting horses.
Agistment/Spelling
90 acres of improved pasture divided into 4 paddocks.
100 acres of leased open pasture with shelter belts of beautiful Redgums and Eucalypts.
At Saltriver we offer herd rehabilitation - for horses that require the heirachy of the herd to help in rehabilitating some issues encountered by humans!
Veterinary Centre and treatment barn
2 stalls, crush, 3 irrigated yards, isolation area and an examination area.
Our vet Dr Mike Davies specializes in advanced reproduction and equine surgery and visits the stud twice weekly during the stud season.
Saltriver Staff are in attendance 24/7

Kellie has just returned from USA !! First visiting Texas to attend the Ray Hunt legacy of the legend memorial clinic,leon Harrels,visiting many Quarter Horse Studs and of course SHOPPING!!! Then on to California to update skills in Advanced Equine Reproduction!.
